About
Born in Montreal, Quebec. I have been living in Vancouver, British Columbia since 1994.
The arts have always interested me. My grandfather was a musician and painter and my mother is also an artist. I am a musician and have played in bands for nearly 20 years but since the pandemic, playing music was no longer an option. Picking up a camera and wandering around by myself was a safe and great reason to get out of the house.
The two dimensional aspect of photography is something that is quite familiar to me. I have been blind in my left eye for well over 20 years due to a tumour(meningioma) in my head on my optic nerve. I keep my fingers crossed that it won't one day progress to start affecting my good eye. All signs so far have been positive, but regular appointments have to be kept up to keep an eye on it(Ha!).
Photography for me started with point and shoot cameras and then iPhones to document travel and friends. During the pandemic I started taking photography more seriously and I am always looking forward to the opportunity to get out and hit the streets to make photographs.
My main focus is street photography, mainly shooting in monochrome. I also do event, and portrait photography. Recently, I started product/content photography.
